SO WHAT IS BASE?
BASE BODY MOVEMENT IS...
🖤About creating exercise for everyone to participate in safely, but to allow an opportunity for people to be stretched physically & mentally where they can. Differentiated training for peoples needs.
🖤Base is a place for everyone to show up without judgement of self and others. Allow movement to be. Some days we feel strong, other days just showing up is telling how strong we are. There is no judgement, no ego in this, go with the flow and know that your body is telling you a story.
🖤Exercise for us is a lifestyle, there is no boom no bust. Females who train too hard consistently create hormonal problems and will burn out from adrenal fatigue and loose their periods if they are not fuelling correctly. Most women don't fuel correctly as they live in fear of putting on weight. Amenorrhea is when women will loose their period because they are over working and under fuelling to maintain their exercise level.
🖤We don't Over exercise so our bodies won't HOLD ON TO FAT, training too hard too often puts our body into fight or flight. Our body needs to be in a relaxed state to be able to loose weight. We are not athletes, we have stories outside of our training.
🖤We train in a balanced way, making sure we are working out the muscles in the body evenly, front, back upper, lower, the planes of the body and the different components of fitness.
🖤Functional, well thought out, loving movement in a positive and loving environment.
🖤Breath, we use Breath to support our movement and our lymphatic system.
🖤We allow our body to come into parasympathetic mode rather than fight or flight mode.
🖤We Find time to come into a slower pace in movement, mindfulness in what we are doing. We are in control of our mind and body, not the other way around, this is all part of what we do. By coming into the body we are creating a relationship with our body, beginning to learn how it ticks, what it enjoys, what feels good.
🖤We Train in a varied way through strength & endurance training, cardiovascular, power, agility, flexibility, coordination all of these components of fitness are being mindfully put into each weeks programming.
